xlab-running(7)
NAME
xlab-running — queue, resume, pause, sentinel, and service operation.
SYNOPSIS
xlab queue
xlab up
xlab serviceDESCRIPTION
up runs the runner, conductor, standing schedules, reports, optional insights, and local dashboard. A lab lock prevents a second runner working the same queue. Samples run serially. A run resumes at its first unfinished block after interruption; interrupted attempts are never combined into a complete block.
Gates wait for a quiet host, adequate disk, and configured temperature limits. Repeated failed runs halt the runner temporarily. pause lets the current run finish and starts no new one; resume also clears a halt. cancel RUN stops a running run after its current sample. Budget checks control admission.
Standing specs are scheduled ahead of waiting runs without interrupting work already in progress. Their control history, noise floor, and drift warnings appear in reports and the dashboard. A model-version sentinel is still planned.
EXAMPLES
xlab standing add experiments/S0-sentinel.toml --every-hours 6
xlab standing list
xlab work --trees
xlab serviceservice prints a launchd agent or systemd user unit and installation instructions. Review it and install it using the instructions for your host. Keep API keys in the configured key file with mode 600; no key is needed for the simulated demo.
